It's already been determined this is not the latest RC out there. Someone actually had the numbers, 16-8 or something.

So this is certainly just a month old RC that has already been discarded and fixed. Users here thinking they got something "new" are just finding out why Nokia hasn't released it yet.

In my understanding, if the firmware updates the radio (which so far, most of them have) - then yes. You will not be able to "change" your mind if you flash the leaked 1.2

It's a result of the update updating the hardware chip's firmware too. The same thing happened in the last update (PR 1.1).

1: the web browser has crashed 5 times with an internal error warning
2: the web browser has frozen twice and i had to take the battery out
3: the web browser sometimes loaded with just the address bar and no other buttons like full screen and back
4: hildon-home has stopped responding twice
5: my battery went from 44% to 5% then back to 30% for example a few times really fast
6: plugging the n900 in for a charge sometimes didn't charge and needed a restart
7: the media widget still has the play bug where it doesn't work
8: i got the portrait mode bug once

thats what i have so far. anything you guys can add? so far im very unhappy with the stability of the browser which i use a LOT!!

lets hope its not final release version.
you really thought the PR1.2 has been ready for 4 weeks and nokia only holds it back to see how many posts PR1.2 speculation thread can collect?

The leaked version is over 1 month old (March 31st actually) so it is not the RC version.

All you folks are stuck with an unstable buggy version until the normal release comes out because going back renders your cellphone useless.

Good luck!

This is an unstable, buggy and outdated(more than one mounth) beta.
Two possibilities:
-Stay with it and wait for the true 1.2
-Downgrade to 1.1.1, loose SIM card support and wait for the true 1.2

Such a sobering reminder that we're not dealing with commodity x86 parts.

Then again, this is just about par for the course for mobile handsets.
