Is there anyway I can increase the earphone's volume (the little hole) during calls? It is at maximum but still very low.

Also speakerphone's volume (at maximum) is also a bit on the low side as well.

The only volume setting I used is the physical bar next to the word "Nokia" on the phone. Is there some other volume setting?

Have you put a screen protector, i had the same problem and when i looked closely the glass protector hole was not properly punch so i actually scrached in with my nails and removed the small bit from the screen protector

There are others but some are actually set by the physical volume control.
There are a coupe of threads dealing with this problem.

Note that you have to activate the device you want to set.
i.e. plug in the headphones to set the headphone level, or make a phone call to set the phone levels.
Note the warnings in the thead about backing up the /var/lib/alsa/asound.state file before saving the alsa settings.

I wish I had time to write this up properly. A quick overview.
"aplay -l" Will give you the playback device information.
"arecord -l" Will give you the record device information.
"alsamixer -c 0" Is the mixer control panel. "0" is the device number.
"alsactl store 0" Save the current alsa state for device 0.
TAB moves between Playback, Capture and All.
Arrows move between inputs or outputs and raise and lower.

The mono DAC affects the front "phone" speaker.
What I would try is pull up alsamixer from the command line. Then put it in the background and make a phone call. ( I use my voice-mail account as it can be long winded - like this message ) Now put the phone app in the background and bring up the alsa mixer to see what your current "mono DAC" setting is. If it is low try bringing the level up and see if that helps.

Thanks for the links. I could not find that thread though I remembered seeing it. Yeah, I even used the power search.
I did not have the hardware problem just a little hard of hearing
I can now hear this phone very well even in noisy environments with the "mono DAC" setting maxed out.
