(assuming you want to vnc to your PC)
1. Install some VNC server software to your pc (I myself use Ultra VNC)
2. Launch the server software
3. Find the IP of yor PC (with Ultra VNC when you hower the cursor over the status area icon it shows it)
4. Install a VNC viewer for your N900 (VNC viewer or Presence VNC, I would recommender Prsence VNC)
5. Launch the VNC viewer you just installed
6. Write the IP of your PC when prompted
7. Injoy

neither of those seem to be about VNC....
