if these settings are wrong then plz any1 paste it here your own ideal profile so that i can replace it..plzzzz thnx
trisha02, change the value 38 to 28. 38 doesn't make sense as the next lowest is 30

put the stock kernel and reboot your phone. report back the battery usage with stock kernel. if it is still abysmal then you have some other bigger problem. what does battery graph says? how much mamh your battery has as per it? based on that some informed comments be given.

i actually thought of that and tried it
but it didn't save much battery
it actually made the phone lags a lot when receiving a call

i always have my N900 min freq 500 and max 750
and getting the same results if the min is 250

because when N900 is standby the freq goes to 0
\

PS: I HAVE CHANGED sh install.txt
to
bash install.txt

can some one confirm that is works with it ?

can't wait for the dbus-script!!!
i changed vfs cache value back to default
and it gave me an extra time of continues usage
with the dbus-script it would be really awesome

i dont have battery graph installed as i was told earlier that it eats up more battery.i recently flashed my N900 and was using the stock kernel and battery doesnt lasts even a day.continuous usage and standby both eats up very hufe amount of battery.after changing it to karam's tweak it has improved.with the tweaks that i did mentioned in the previous page i face less standby and better continuous usage compared o standby.i am waiting fr the update.hw to chechk the mamh bdw?

vi_, i only have a little knowledge on dbus. after doing some obvservation, i found that dbus-scripts only grep 4 argument when the device going standby, which is sender, destination, interface (com.nokia.mce.signal), and member (system_inactivity_ind). but i couldn't find the way to get the status of system_inactivity_ind, the 'true/false' value.

so, to let my script know what is the current status of system_inactivity_ind, i use a file as indicator.
if the indicator file exist, then the device is in standby mode, and vice versa.

this is my script:
Code:
#!/bin/bash

INACTIVE_IND=inactive.indicator

if [ -e $INACTIVE_IND ] ; then
  echo 100 > /proc/sys/vm/vfs_cache_pressure
  rm $INACTIVE_IND
else
  echo 10 > /proc/sys/vm/vfs_cache_pressure
  touch $INACTIVE_IND
fi
the problem is, the script couldn't know the current state when the device is rebooted/restarted

do you have any advice, how to get the system_inactivity_ind boolean value using bash script?

as nike would say 'just do it' a spurious replacement battery is cheap as chips it's always handy to have a backup. i changed mine just after 12 month.

ps i changed my powersave back to 0
