Hi Karam got a problem please help!
After installing the 0.4v deb of speedpatch ive noticed my RAM usage is 79 percent with no programs running and stays around there it use to stay around 50 to 60 percent before this problem occurred!
So i have uninstalled the 0.4v deb but its still same and installed the manual speedpatch from post1 still same on RAM usage!
How do i solve this problem???
Thanks in advance!

@romiiio

try version 0.3 but probably will result the same
i don't think this is a problem if you don't have lags
as long as N900 is smooth then no need to worry about the RAM

personally i never look at the RAM usage

PS: you need to reboot twice after installing/uninstalling

Are we getting close to pushing it to repositories?

last night i flashed my device, and right away I have installed CSSU, Kernel v48 and your battery and speed patch v3.deb...
I have massive lag problems and the battery lasts only 4 hours... something is really messed up. I'm going to flash again.

Any hints? in which order would you say I should install the above said?

you are not helping me so much here

first : this patch has no binaries to execute so there is no segmentation fault that may occur

second if you are not successfully able to apply speedpatch from 1st post
try the deb version
from a link above
Solved. I had to install Kernel-power-settings first, then the patch.

Hi, firstly I'd just like to say thanks for the patches. Haven't had a chance to test them out fully yet (but I've ran the checks from the first post and they're properly installed.)

While I was installing I had a bit of a problem with apt-get dbus-scripts. It kept saying "could not find package", and apt-get update also left me with some errors. In the end I just went to the app manager and installed dbus-scripts-settings which installed the dbus-scripts. If anyone has a similar problem, they might find this useful... (although I should probably try and find a proper solution to my apt-get issue)

I have a doubt.

Does the patch includes ability to use microSD as swap memory?

I found 32 GB microSD Class 10 for 79 € and want to know if this patch is ready for use in detecting swap partition on the external card.

Thanks

@trisha02
no not yet
till i upload to extras

@Surreptitious
in that case you must have used FAM instead of HAM
and installing dbus-scripts-settings will install dbus-scripts
because it depends on it

@WhiteWolf

no actually this patch doesn't use microSD as swap
you should do that manually
but personally i don't think using microSD as swap will do any good
but i have increased my swap to 1.5 GB still don't think that did any good too
