Have you tried it with multiple people? If only one person has the issue it could be that person is recording the conversation or maybe have you installed some sort of call recorder? AFAIK beep during recording is mandatory but on the n9 if you are recording some apps allow you to disable it...

I had 2 recording apps and one of them got stuck,, Deleted both, took care of the issue..

If you want a conversation recorder install "Call Recorder" from Apps4Meego...It has good customization options and the beep is either non-existent or can be disabled...I've been using it since many months and no issues at all

With exactly the same sizes and names ? It should work, because this is a way my tweak work. Check your files and locations again...
