it's not a bug, it's a feature!

for the first time in the history of that phrase, it's not sarcastic.

can this bug be applied to any other media player, such as mediabox?

I've noticed that when using a very dark gradient background image on the desktops, some of the video is visible when mplayer is switched to taskmanager and the desktop is brought to the front (maybe where the background colour is 0?).

Got me wondering if a fullscreen video background is possible on the desktop. Looks like it is.

I'd try make an all-black (0) background, and then try play with:
mplayer -wid 0 file

I thought that the live wallpaper package includes an option for video to be looped for your wallpaper image...

Although this is certainly a driver bug, it's easy to consistently trigger. I've bolded the line that causes it. Save the following into ~/.mplayer/config and play a video.

Code:
vo = xv:ck=set
colorkey = 0
fs = yes
ao = pulse
alang = en
framedrop = "1"
autoq = "100"
cache = "8192"
quiet = "1"
really-quiet = "1"
I've put this in the config file and open a video with KMplayer and it doesn't work . Did I do something wrong ?

Kmplayer probably has it's own config that's dynamically loaded with mplayer.

Did all of this, and I get "parse error at line 1" when I type mplayer file.avi

I added everything in a file, but this feature doesn't work. Kmplayer started to work shitty, so i had to remove all of these lines.
Hawaii, should that be the command:
Code:
mplayer /path/to/file/*.avi
or whatever other format, right?
