I have the same problem.
I recommend to adopt the "N97 like swipe to unlock".

Sadly, I have read here and at maemo bugs several posts that NOKIA doesn't like to integreate options. (only reason: easier debugging and bugfixing)

I had started a thread like this one back in september:
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=32060

I think there are some images on the N97 slide to answer implementation
Personnaly I'd prefer the HTC design, there's a screenshot in the first post

I've added a fast mockup at the Brainstorm how I would implement the HTC design at the maemo UI. It follow not exactly the Fremantle Desing Guide, but it is only a simple proposal.

I would prefer to slide to the right to (go forward) to answer the call or backward to cancel. The HTC design goes the other way.

The common mobiles have the green answer button on the left. What would you prefer? The HTC way?

Why is the green answer button on the most mobile phones and handsets on the left side? I don't know.

Putting these already hard-to-select functions on one slide would be a bit mad. Maybe you could push picture of caller to answer. Reject and volume could be beneath it.

Apparently bug 5982 has been fixed.

I wonder what solution they have implemented.

Yes, that's the 1 Million Dollar question!

Hmm... and when PR 1.2 is near we must hope for a fast relase of PR 1.3 to see the implementation.

At the moment, is there a solution for this bug? My phone keeps rejecting calls accidentally all the time because the touchscreen is sensitive when it is in my bag...

I understand something like "slide to answer" maybe included by the developers in the CSSU eventually
