Just voted it up. Would be awesome to see it hit the full Maemo release channels.

Thank for the feedback! It can happen that playback does not continue on track change sometimes, this has to do with a known problem that is still present in the used library. A fix for this is planned, however. It should happen much less frequently with the latest version.

Thanks a lot for the info; will check the license conditions and see if QSpot could utilize it (should be quite straightforward).

Concerning the official arm libspotify the terms of use states that it can be used on an approved device, and (quoting) "Approved Device does NOT include any mobile wireless handset or any other internet-enabled device that is designed to be handheld". I would assume N900 belongs to that category.

Edit: Also noted that it support bitrates 160k and 320k (not low bitrate 96k currently supported in QSpot via libopenspotify).

I opened a question on the Spotify forums for the API, would be cool to show your support

It would indeed be nice in case a change of usage terms would be possible..

It is indeed positive that Spotify responded tto Florian's question about allowing the use of the library on MIDs, and that they will look into it.. It seems that they have targeted e.g., NAS-devices and similar with the ARM version of libspotify. Anyway, it would be really nice in case the official library could be used with QSpot..
