to uninstall:

cp /var/lib/dpkg/status /var/lib/dpkg/status.old

after open the file "status" with a texteditor(i use mc because i had problem with nano and vi)

if possible use the search function of the text editor because the file is very big
you must find and delete "Package: task-swapper" (and all the lines that concern it.

save

after remove manually
-usr/bin/task-swapper
-etc/event.d/swapper

ok so you removed completely the package.

did it not possible associated swapping between windows to the volume button instead of the keyboard?

ok now there is a newer version 1.9-5
it must be installable in few hours until it's uploaded to extras
you must uninstall the old corrupted version using the guide from tig3r81
