Not so obvious, but it is a builtin bookmark:

It doesn't work. You can select text, you can press "Copy", that's all. These actions won't copy text.

Wow, I just tried it myself and "Copy" from the menu will not work when you select text in the browser. Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V work fine, though.

Unfortunately copying text from other applications to paste into the browser does not work. The browser doesn't seem to know about the system wide paste buffer.

So copying passwords and URLs from a file kept in Notes or from the X-Terminal, into the browser, doesn't work

If someone knows to the contrary I'd be delighted to hear how to do it.

I just Ctrl-C / Ctrl-V'ed from Notes to the Reply box here and it worked fine.

I've just tried it from X-Terminal into MicroB's URL bar, and the Search box on this site, and they both work with Ctrl-V too The "Paste" button didn't appear in the drop down, though.

I've also tried copying from a page in MicroB use the gestures and Ctrl-C to copy, then Paste in X-Terminal, and that worked too

So it seems the problem is the Copy / Paste buttons do not work correctly in MicroB, but selection, Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V do work.

I've read that the Copy button not working is fixed in unreleased firmware, and I presume that fixes Paste too.

Thanks BrentDC, that makes password entry much easier
