Hi,

Found this and installed the most recent pkg today (would come in handy);
http://maemo.org/packages/package_in.../0.62.1maemo2/

Now, it has some missing dep's - like scrollkeeper, which in turn has missing dep's also (docbook-xml which needs sgml_data - which cannot be installed (?) ) and as ye see, Im stuck.

The app works when launchin it from terminal (not thru icon?) but as ye understand, I can do nothing since it always returns with the msg; 1 dep issue, Synaptic will be removed (also with APT which returns with a-g -f install as solution).

I guess installing sgml_base wont do the trick? Any solution, even temporary?

Cheers,

It is possible to install it. You only need to fetch the missing depencies yourself and install them.
I made it work sometime, but i uninstalled it because Fapman does the same use. (Or better since it's finger-friendly. Synaptic is not.)
Synaptic also occupies a lot of space.

Arite, but still, Synaptic has some features which cannot be found in fapman. Tho didnt no fapman could update pkg's like that (?), might be 'cus I dun no much abt that part at all.

Anyway, managed to install sgml-base and -data, and now Synaptic runs fine.

How did you get sgml-data to install?

edit:I figured it out, i had to add the SDK repository, sgml-data can be found there
