However, I'm pretty sure that Jolla will be courting Whatsapp, so I strongly suspect that there'll be a native Meego version of Whatsapp when their device launches. Once that's available, it should be much easier to quickly repurpose for the N9 and be a great deal more reliable than Wazapp.

At least the UI seems pretty sweet already, so the only problems to be solved are the stability and connection issues (the latter caused by stuff at Whatsapp's end). Then again, what do I know about software development.I really think a regularly updated FAQ (or at least a big flashing link to keinc's collection of fixes) at the beginning of the thread would be good since it'd reduce the number of people asking the same questions over and over again. I mean, who really expects a noob to really go through several hudred pages of posts? Also it's good to see that this thread finally seems to be getting back to the actual subject. For several pages it was turning really nasty with people *****ing at the devs or each other. I mean one app hardly defines what phone you choose and calling the devs (who use their own free time for this without compensation) names really won't make the job any easier.
Anyhow, thanks for all the devs for a great job. I'm looking forward to the next build.

All those new users in the forum who are asking about trying to contact WhatsApp for asking them to port the app for N9:

We already tried this almost an year ago: http://www.change.org/petitions/what...sapp-messenger
It didn't work. They ignored us. This is why a community port was started by tgalal. And if you look properly, this thread has reached 400+ pages.
Most of your answers are all located in the first 50 pages since months ago.
About new connectivity problems: Keep calm and carry on.
