TPlayer is a simple database-based music player that can show different views of DB(selecting by artist or album with sorting in one click), play back most popular formats. It's purpose is to be small, quick, and easy to use.

Features include:
Playlist controls
Equalizer
Covers download (also downloading bands biography)
Lyrics download
Many file formats supported
Last.fm scrobling
Easy-to-use UI, Keyboard control included
FMTX control
Internet radio

The newest version is: 1.0.7-5

Main control screen

Playlist screen

Playlist sorting\filtering screen

Config window

FMTX control

The package can be found in extras-devel\extras-tesing. It's still buggy with orientation and doesn't have progress bars for covers download(so after push this just wait). May require a lot of internet data at first time. For active last.fm scrobling require constant internet connection(will fix it).For internet radio require good connection(bitrate is various), use /home/user/tplayer-inet.m3u to set stations

The package page: http://maemo.org/packages/view/tplayer/

It would be nice to hear back from people willing to try it. You can post bugreports or requests or comments here, or to my e-mail address.

Thanks

I wanted to try it, but for some reason it fails to add songs to the playlist - it looks like it finds them (progress bar filling up, with the paths on the top), but when it finishes the playlist is still empty.

Also it would be nice if it would remember the last added directory path, it's a chore to always navigate to the music folder.

TMarki: i have some bug in files permission in package, trying to fix it, now you can select sorting\filtering with empty second string and push sort(if not empty, it will filter list,so not all files will be shown)
and can you send /home/user/.tplayer* files to me?does this files have user:user permissions?

TMarki:Yeap, as i think, just enable sorting filtering in any order(file .tplayer-list shoul containg only one SQL query, file named .tplayer-list in you arhieve should be called .tplayer-lists,rename it)

or try this codes
Code:
mv /home/user/.tplayer-list /home/user/.tplayer-lists
echo "SELECT * FROM tracks WHERE 1 ORDER by RANDOM()">/home/user/.tplayer-list
also tplayer 1.0.3-7 from extras-devil may fix this problem(look's like problem is disappeared, after first appending to playlist make any sort if not)
When scanning it append all files from sub directories(with extensions from option dialog)

I haven't downloaded this app yet, but I can see the Main control screen has lyrics spelled incorrectly. This may have been fixed by now though...
