BlueMaemo is an OpenMoko initiative. someone just port it to n900.
And angrybirds is multiplatform too!
There are good apps that are built for maemo, i think that it's no surprise that they can't talk about them, because maemo is not popular anymore.

What am i talking about? - Stuff.tv (Stuff Magazine) has published their "100 Best Apps ever" - obviously it's their choice, and i'm always interested in reading any tech blog/magazine etc!
Anyway, firstly, well done to Stuff!! they had a little symbol indicating which operating systems the apps work on, and there was a little yellow M indicating Maemo!! (Really not used to seeing it in the same breath as other OS's in the main stream)
For completeness the os's listed are : Android, iPhone, iPad, Symbian, Blackberry, WinMo, Palm & Maemo!
Well, i did a quick browse through and found two maemo apps! (Better than none)
1) Angry Birds - Best Game (Actually listed first! - and has a little yellow M!!! yay!)
2)BlueMaemo - Best in Geek!! - oh what a topic, love it - and congrats!
I was a bit miffed that only 2 made it in, but that probably equates, if not generously to the maemo OS market share! 2/100
So, Maemo isn't a hidden secret, and there are some good apps
Let the meego/maemo development proceeeeeeeeeeed!
