Hello out there,

i think this might be helpful for some of you: A new panorama
application is available from the Ovi Store.

I did a quick test and i am satisfied: The UI is very easy as the
application tells you when to fix the camera and when to move.
The resolution is high, the quality of the image was okay but
nothing i would say "wow". This might be due to the bad light
conditions in my room...

Can someone - who owns the full version of morphoquickpanorama -
compare it with the new one from Nokia? Thanks.

The MorhpoQuick panorama lacks the after picture was shot "fixing" of the images i.e. the Nokia one is way better when the photos are combined. Morpho takes one large picture while the Nokia application takes as many as you like and combines them fixing most of the unalligned things in the pictures. It has autofocus too!

Panorama

And it just froze up on my n900 at the first go - not promising

Second attempt is a lot better though. It's not as quick as morpho,
Ui is nice though

Just in case you have problems with the store part. The OVI repository is accessible directly from the command line

Code:
aptitude install panorama

IMHO this panorama app is much better as morphoquick.

I own Morpho full version, and have to say they both are good programs.
Nokia has a better UI, can take panoramas in both directions and is not limited in size (at least I couldn't find its limit).
Morpho is much simpler, there's (almost) no UI at all, but in the end it produces better results.
For me it's important Nokia is still rolling out new maemo programs, even if I do believe Panorama is full QT, so easily ported to meego (and back of course).
