FasterN9 seems to be a bit patchy, works well for some but actually causes lag for some people.

From the sound of the previous comments running Drop Cache once when still charging (1am-ish) should produce a nice clean slate for the morning.

I'll see how that does over the next few days....

This is just what I'm thinking here. I've been overdoing that alot and nothing seems to break. Set my profiles to run the script at 06:00 (am) just to gain the fresh start. Going to throw a "every 3minutes do a drop cache" -profile on my N9 at weekend. Let's see how it goes.

Had a weird bump in my idle power consumption from 11mA to 52mA and slowly back. It happened around 14:00-15:00 and my profile was set to "free-memory at 12:00 & 18:00", so I don't believe it was Drop Cache that caused it.

Still monitoring.

I have come into a conclusion that this script-combo does no harm to your cell, nor the software in it. Just set it to Free memory at 06:00 (6am) and every day.

You're propably loading your phone at that time or it's atleast close to full battery, so IF remember, IF there's any battery drain, it won't matter.

All the apps where working flawlessy and the phone wasn't sluggish at the time when I tested it. I myself do approve.

I agree it's trouble-free and does seem to keep things running smoothly.

I have mine scheduled for just after midnight while still actively charging so there is no impact on the battery at all.

1. Install Drop Cache & ProfileMatic
2. Fire up the ProfileMatic
3. Create a profile like:
Time:
Starts: 06:00
Ends: 06:01
Every day!!
Custom Action:
Custom action on rule activate:
Code:
aegis-exec /opt/dropcache-mdn/bin/dropcache.sh --3
4. Save
5. Enable rules in ProfileMatics settings.
6. Tsadamn! You've made a script which will clear your cache and free memory at 06:00 every day.

Good luck! Shouldn't be hard.

Hey, this works nicely. Thanks!

Could someone help me with a script to activate Call Blocker app and activate Whitelist option? Maybe also Block unknown number option.

My idea is to block all other numbers except family members during nigh-time.

Thanks in advance!

You might want to post to CepiPerez in that thread (http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=79861) asking him for the commands which can be inputted into ProfileMatic via a script or sth like that...Initial commands need to come from CepiPerez...Your idea is useful...

Thanks! Should developer Mode be on in order to this work properly?
