Ah, I see - cheers. Thanks for the link!

heres a great video testimony from Rovio about how bounce and angry birds was developed using Qt SDK and it shows the exact same games running both on n900 and newly announced N8.

From the QT webpage.

Qt will be the basis for Nokia devices running MeeGo (Harmattan) and is the API for developing applications in all upcoming MeeGo devices bringing even more platforms to you as the Qt developer. Soon you can rely on full (X11) Qt support on MeeGo devices.

Evidently, as far as Nokia is concerned, MeeGo is Harmattan. I'm not sure how that works with the M6 device that is (theoretically) coming out this year...?

Planet maemo seems to be down at the moment, so, to avoid repeatig lenghty posts, you can read my thoughts on the Qt SDK on my The Penguin Moves ! blog. Long story short - it rocks, but it still needs a few magic components (like actually getting to a release phase with Declarative support). Still, it’s way, WAY better for most people than scratchbox. I don’t think it will make a difference in the near future, but it will start kicking serious butt late this year, about when Harmattan gets released.

I'm installing this right now. I have hope that this will actually allow people to develop for the n900 now.

For some odd reason, I downloaded the offline version (820MB)
and when it finished, avira displayed a virus warning about this.

Anyone has any ideas?
