its probably a hardware problem, with the slider triggering a short circuit or a disconnecting inside your n900.
does your phone still work good if the keyboard isnt slided?
and maybe you could try opening up your n900 and trying to find the problem yourself, heres a video that would help if you do that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVEHm325-z8
and good luck with whatever you do
My phone then went into a boot loop, I've reflashed the phone a few times but it still turns off when i open the slide.
Can anyone help??
