I am using sennheiser cx300 headphones and its as smooth as butter with very little hiss. I am hearing notes I couldn't hear in my ipod touch. Also, it appears they increased the volume range in 1.2. Now if only they will add an equaliser?.

It is good if you are not browsing heavy websites at the same time. I hate the stuttering audio when viewing sites like engadget

I Couldn't agree more. I ripped some of my CDs to flac, installed extra decoders, and I am using my N900 in my car with the car sound system, it's better then the pioneer built in CD.

BTW, sennheiser CX500 are 10 times better then the 300, and not much more expensive. You should try them, I had 2 pairs of 300, and now I own 3 pairs of 500.

LOL - It's funny you mention that, I do listen to a whole lot of music.

- In the morning while I get ready to work, with home theater sound system.
- In the car with Very nice sound system (subwoofer, componenets, amps the whole deal)
- At work, CX500
- At collage CX500 ( Different Pair )
- Evenings when GF is sleeping, CX500 ( 3rd Pair )
- On top of it all, I play guitar, for 10 years, usually LOUD.

So I went to check my hearing, and it's great! above normal quality in all frequencies. Weehee!

You know, i said the same thing once in a thread and was laughed at. I guess it's because i didn't throw in the name of a fancy pair of earphones.
