I am streaming video every hour with KMPlayer and smooth like silk. Try WorldTV99 and set player to ossomediaserver, the built-in player or mplayer.

Just for fun I was trying the YouTube mobile site http://m.youtube.com and its videos open in the media player. Streaming worked fine there.
However, http://www.youtube.com/xl is a much nicer YouTube browser interface for Maemo.
