Okay, Maemo-Mapper was working great, upgraded to the latest version and suddenly I've lost access to my GPS receiver. When I go to setup up, the "Bluetooth" option is now grayed out. I've tried everything I can think of to getting it working...anyone have any advice???

Same here.

I was using maemo-mapper 2.4.1 (os2006) and updated straight to 2.6.2 a few days ago. Since then it keeps forever in searching gps receiver, and the configuration option for GPS bluetooth is checked but insensitive.

Which was the last version that worked for you?

Edit:
It seems to be a well known problem. It stopped working after 2.4.1 and it has not been fixed. The only option seems to be downgrading maemo-mapper to 2.4.1:

I'm using 2.6.2 with an N800 and a G-sat GPS receiver, and I am not having trouble connecting and getting a satellite fix.

same here, works fine. N800/5.2008.43-7/mmc boot/MM 2.6.2 IO Gear BT GPS.

Go Setting/GPS/Scan and select your BT GPS and enter the BT code to couple to the tablet. Post back if question.

Have problem with 770.... the GPS scan button does NOT light up on 2007He/770

The 2.5.3 version actually worked find for me. I was able to find a work around and update that work around in the link above.

Involves xterm work and feels like a kludge, but wrote a very simple shell script that seems to do the trick. So I'm now running the latest version of MM talking to my GPS, but there has to be a reason why upgrading to the latest version causes the bluetooth option to gray out.
