To get power kernel to load again, reboot the phone with the keyboard open and you should be able to select power kernel.
You are confused and confusing him. Batterypatch is the one with a non KP version. Speedpatch has only one version, nothing to do with Kernel Power...

I am right, right?

I invoke Karam!
I don't know the answer for sure, I have tried all these patches with Power Kernel, and don't actually know the internal logic.

Sorry, my bad! It is battery patch that has the non-kp version. Must learn to read properly before replying :S

As far as I know, speed patch should work without kernel power, but Karam is the one who will know for sure.

oh yeah, you can check with this from post 1:

1. To check if Speedpatch was installed :
-------------------
cd /dev/cgroup/cpu/user/
--------------------
if no problem appeared about (no such file or directory) then you are fine

This should tell you if speed patch is working (I think).

Hi, Im curious - I stopped using N900 because of the lack of performance - the phone was "freezing" even when nothing but mp3 player was working - and by freezing I dont mean it froze up and I had to restart, but that the music was like pausing and immediately starting again (dont know the correct english term, hope you understand). It became a real PITA when I tried browsing while listening to the music. Question is, could this patch help?

PS: The problem described remained even after overclock to 1.2ghz ...

do yourself a favor, fix your phone first (ie: flash it)before trying this patch out or even installing any app or updates to prevent unneeded work for the dev to troubleshoot ur phone, as the phone should not be freezing while playing mp3

I must say bobbydoedoe, that my device used to behave that way when I had no kernel-power nor speedpatch.

I'd tell michalurban to go ahead and try speedpatch to check wether he sees an improvement (I hope so). Now it is easy to install and deinstall it with the respositories version.

Of course, michalurban, you should restart after installing or deinstalling the patch to tell if there's an improvement or not.

https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Powersaving

N900 - use this useful tool, run ././bq27220.sh -r
# of wakeups/second, that prevent the CPU from sleeping. See powertop. Relevant in low CPU load. See Mobile/Powersaving/Wakeups
CPU %. Relevant in high CPU load.
Disk usage (tools: iostat, atop).
Relevant config setting: browser.sessionstore.interval
Simulate power usage via Intel's Application Energy Toolkit?

should i do it?

ok i have uploaded a new version 19-7 of batterypatch

i hope reboots are fixed now

:
1-) changed all the voltages to the default once (anyone can change them if he knows his N900 can handle them

2-) disabled vdd1 while conservative is active

Some feedbacks please
even if you don't have a random reboot
