But I really hope that Pidgin has a hildonized file transfer menu
When you try to send a file, you can barely see anything!

Hmmm ... I don't do any file transfers using Pidgin, so I haven't really paid much attention to the UI. I guess I can do that next. Thanks for letting me know!

Please give Pidgin 2.7.7-0nix1 in extras-testing one more thumbs-up! That's all it needs to make it to extras!
And while I'm in the pitching business, there's also the extra protocols and the translations.
