Hi,
l actually bought N900 for playing(with debian), just l want to type sudo apt-get install, but it asks me for password, last owner can't remember any pwd, sudo gainroot want enable R&D mode - but still l need sudo passwd, is there any 100% tip how to change it ? Thanx
PS: can't install anythink without pwd

When it is used the savest is to reflash it, because you dont know what the last owner did to the phone.

I think this only works if sudser is installed (don't do that it is not secure)

Maybe he never put a password so it still could be "rootme".

You need to install rootsh from the application manager you did that, is it installed?

Yes it is possible but please check if rootsh is installed and I would go for a reflash.
