I've been seeing the N810 listed as 'end of life' at a couple major distributors. Is it discontinued by Nokia? Any planned repalcement?

Hoo boy! Guess you've missed some busy threads here.

Odds are it is at end of life, especially since the OS in development cannot run as-is on the device. As for planned replacement, that's been discussed heavily here and elsewhere. One may be released later this year.

Nokia just recently did another production batch of them, and they have a policy of not phasing out a product until it's replacement is available. While they may be hard to get ahold of, you can still find them, and likely will for a while longer. There are a number of threads around here that list places that still have them. Just do a search for "n810 on sale".

Raiden's comment leads me to qualify mine: let's say "at or near end of life" for N810.

And not to quibble, but Nokia has allowed gaps in product lines, but even that determination sometimes depends on one's personal point of view. For instance, I don't see the N810 as the direct replacement for the N800, but I'm sure many disagree.

Well, just as an FYI to the OP, Walmart still has them in stock, and so does Amazon. I think Buy.com has them too. So you can still get them as there's still plenty in stock.

The N97 is the replacement if we think Nokia still remember our N810

How do you get that price?

I just checked Nokia USA website, backordering for 206.10$ (229.00 - 22.9=206.1)
