First of all if this is in the wrong place or I have missed a previous similar post I apologise.

Serious problem - Need help!
Mothers Day on Sunday, got to take the mother in law out for a meal, but poor planning in my eyes it is also the first Grand Prix!
There is no TV where we have booked the meal, it is too late to change the venue... However, I have my trusty N900... Can I watch the race on that?
Is there a site that I can got to? I only care about BBC1!

Any suggestions please!

Cheers,
Dan.

Managed to find the original links I used:

Click the link and it should open in the Media player. However, sometimes it stops (and apparently switches to audio mode) soon after starting. To avoid that, click the "+" button on the screen when it is still connecting. Then you can create a "video bookmark" in Media player's Video folder, and that does not seem to have the same problem.

These are the streams used by http://www.bbc.co.uk/mobile/live/tv/. The resolution is poor, but the streams work well even over the mobile network (at least Vodafone).

Of course, you need a TV licence to watch these, and probably also to be in the UK.

WorldTVN900 only has one channel for the UK, BBC Looknorth, pity really.

Take a projector, connect your N900 and display on the wall. Then everyone who has been dragged out can watch as well.

Scared the crap out of me until I realized you were talking about "Mothering Sunday", something not celebrated here.

I would also like more links.

I've googled, and after seeing my mates iphone stream live UK TV, I've googled some more with not much success.

I have tried tvcatchup.com but it isn't very good yet, come on Flash 10 upgrade.

I've also been pointed towards orb.com but I don't have the hardware.

The only way I can stream live UK TV is to use tvcatchup.com over my Nokia 5800 with Skyfire browser. The N900 isn't supported by Skyfire.

i wonder if Zoutube could be adapted to be able to stream live channels.
