Hi, my first post!
Liquid War 5 http://www.ufoot.org/liquidwar can now be found in Extras-devel.
This is a multiplayer wargame created by Christian Mauduit. In this game you control an army of "liquid" and the object is to "eat" your opponent(s). Also see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liquid_War.

Here are some screenshots:

This is my first attempt at packaging so not sure if everything is correct, but it seems to work ok.

Known bugs:
  • No sound
  • Cannot switch to other applications while in fullscreen mode, sometimes the menu icon displays in the top left corner but you are unable to "click" it
  • Game runs slowly but is acceptable if in Options->Rules, Cursor is set to x3
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions that would be great.

Controls:
  • Arrow keys to move cursor, your liquid army follows this
  • "q" go back to menu when in-game
  • "e" pause game
  • "r" toggle wave effect
  • "t" show fps
  • "y" show rounds/second
  • "u" show % cpu time on game logic
  • "i" show % cpu time displaying game
  • "o" save each displayed frame as a bitmap to directory where game launched from (for making videos, etc - only works when liquidwar is launched via command line /opt/maemo/usr/games/liquidwar)

Enjoy!

It is possible to control by touch - to configure enter the "teams" menu. For the player "Attila" press where it says "cpu" and change to "human". Now you can drag on the screen to control the cursor - its a bit tricky to control but interesting to try.

you can control the with the accelerometer , i think yo might need the prog called Accelymote

remapping the controls can be a bit awkward, but can be done for any team

btw, i haven't been able to figure out how to set the resolution to 800x480, is there a file somewhere to edit to add that resolution to the list?

And btw, why is it so slow? Is it just lack of optimization for the platform or is the hardware on the N900 really that weak?
