My experience is that the N900 is second to the 808 in sound quality when wired to a HIFI chain.
Also the 808 has QuasarMX

QTMobileHotspot package comes with driver pack for windows it's not easiest way to do USB networking between N900 and any (linux or not) desktop, no need for MADDE to achieve just that, anymore.
