I had the same problem a while back. Luckily my friend worked at a jewlery shop so he had the dremel to remove the heads of the screws. If you know someone at a watch or jewelry shop who can do it...

Yes. Already tested and I can confirm that it works nicely. :) The only problem I've noticed is that there is no sound when the device is in silent profile.

I won't risk installing a leaked firmware on my only Harmattan device that has no warranty (not that any warranty would be valid if it caused problems).

The problem is certainly a tracker issue...

nokia has base firmwares with pr legacy 001

These firmwares are then modified to include support for MEA region and given legacy code 005

China is IIRC pr legacy 006

you are using the latest FW release so if you ever need to flash just flash the same product code...

Arie has told me that when he had tracker issues on his device the recommendations were off so maybe its something else?

I was just wondering why turning on airplane mode makes tracker behave...

I have the issue and recommendations has always been turned off. So maybe it's not due to that.

Anyway next time you have an issue you can also open terminal and type tracker-control to give you the status of tracker...looking...
