Without internet, you would have to set destination by doing it on the map, once you have a beginning point and a destination point, route will work, and you can then track yourself. Anyway, this is old info. After update, it tracks by default, no need for route.

I still think, and maintains, ovi map is quite useful. It is the unreliable gps locking that makes the whole gps not dependable, i.e., when you want it, it does not lock. However, with the update, the locking is getting slightly more reliable, you see I have used 3 adjectives, "getting slightly more"
