fair enough, but it said it improves browser speed. mine just crashes the browser over and over again. i flashed back to the old software and its working as it should. so much for that.

What exactly do you mean by "locks up" and "crashes"?

if i load a webpage and click a link, it hangs for a minute or then says it cant load cuz its not responding. then the browser turns all white and wont let me close it. sometimes i have to power it off to get it back up. i went back to the software before that and the problem went away.

I opened bug 3504 for that (maybe it's a different issue), unfortunately I couldn't find a way to reproduce it at will.
Sometimes it helps restarting browserd ("/etc/init.d/tablet-browser-daemon restart" as root).

Maybe it's bug 3627
though it didn't lock up in my case.
Edit: it did. Right after posting this message (with 2 more browser windows open) browserd was taking 99% cpu and the browser appeared to be stuck. Restarting browserd "solved" the problem.
Edit2: actually it didn't really solve it until I reastarted the browser as well.

so anyone figure out how to solve the problem? or is it just a limited number of people experiencing the browser locking up issue?
