I don't see an FCC submission as relevant to this issue.

sorry to go away from the conversation,
But im blown away by this design flaw. How could they create a 600$, let me repeat that 600$ phone that breaks in three months. This morning I wake hung over, head pounding and guess what happens when I unplug my n900. BAM the port falls on my lap as if it was laughing at me.
BLOWS MY MIND

I think that using your phone while Hung Over will be termed abuse and will not be covered under warranty.

Basically Nokia seems to have determined that "use is abuse".

Nokia has not yet figured out that "those pesky users" are called "customers", the entities that buy phones!

NOKIA REP: Damn! Another one of those Pesky USERS calling, what do I do?

NOKIA Supervisor: Ignore them. They'll go away.

(and yes, I realize it wasn't as simple as that sentence-- which is why I used quotes)

Ok, I have read most of the posts here,
Here is my problem
I bought it off ebay, unopened, so, it is new, in the USA>
It was sold in the usa, not a knock off or anything.
So,
the first night was great, I got the AC charger working, it charged it, and then the morning, I used it and, voila,
the next night, AC doesn't charge it. It is like 50% left.
The usb charges it thru computer, and there is absolutely 0 damage on the AC charger or the USB cable, I just freaking opened the stupid case.
What the hell am I supposed to do now?
Is it AC charger, or the stupid hardware
I am updating to maemo 5 3,2 now, I thought it might fix it somehow, but I am really pissed off.
I tried 5V usb charger, and plug the cable in, it is still not charging like that, only computer charges it.
Jeez, I don't really want to call another consumer hotline.
Any suggestions?
A known issue?
May be this should be added to the poll.

Before concluding it to be phone's hardware fault, did you get a chance to check with another wall plug adapter? Could it be a problem with the wall adapter? I do not remember seeing any user having the usb problems show up within a day.
