last time it said mono capture 100%
That is normal, you have to restart the n900 for capture vol to return.

Capture volume has to be off after running the script, thats why it says 0%.

SavageD, thx a lot man!
The script realy improved battery life.
In sound case: no problems with echo or reverb as posted above, sound in headphones is bit louder than was, also buggy alsamixer do the job, it needs some workaround maybe shell scripts started automaticaly after media player or so...
And plz tell us what exactly changed in new version, plz make something like changelog. (cause everything almost great and dont wanna reinstall, u know what I mean)
Again thx a lot. For now your app is most usefull app exept ssh) on my phone

I just installed the patches. I will keep posted the results. Instantly, I can confirm a louder sound in the earphones. It just happens that I have a video in rmvb format in my device, which was having problems with audio, and after the patch, the performance significantly improve... will keep monitoring, thanks and great work my friend!

There will be more updates as there is still quite a lot of room in terms of performance on the n900, but I'm not being too hasty at releasing them. Blowing my speaker the last time around made me much...much wiser

I'll add change log for the next patch.

I will not be adding this to the repos....well at least until I'm completely certain that these patches are safe.

I have no problems with users adding this patch to other forums.

I've tried everything I could to fix the headphone bug...I've tried redirecting pulse audio files and streams, messing with RX51 driver values etc etc...but nothing can fix it.

My idea to fix this problem at the moment would be to create a daemon with constantly sets headphone dB gain to 100% in 12sec intervals...each time headsets are inserted. However, It's obvious to see why this is a problem (battery life/performance etc). So I'll have to think a lot more on this to find a better solution.
