You can easily do this with Desktop Command Execution Widget.

The command will be:

echo $(cat /sys/class/power_supply/bq27200-0/temp)°C
And yeah, you must enable (if not yet) bq27x00_battery module to make this command work

Code:
echo bq27x00_battery >> /etc/modules

Even if the processor itself is safe, there is the matter of the other hardware components that interact with it. For example the other day I learned while at the IRC channel that the controller for the internal memory gets stressed out beyond specs if you OC the processor.

True, but most users, as in like 99% of users who've been overclocked for months seem okay. Plus, as long as you don't set the limits to the same number, say /usr/sbin/kernel-config limits 1000 1000, most of the time it's clocked at 0.
