No, but there's an option to manually merge IM contacts with other contacts, to reduce clutter.

As long as you've got access to the internet as usual you shouldn't run into any problems with that. So yes.

Perhaps if you disable the Skype account.
Otherwise not.

If it bothers you, use a separate Skype client.

Yes, of course. 3G connection is as good as any internet connection. Just make sure you have enough bandwith for Skype voice calls.

Skype, like most other internet-capable apps, is connection-agnostic. As long as your online, it doesn't care which method you've used to connect to the web (3G, 2.5G, Wifi, electrified bananas).

YMMV.

As far as I know, Skype doesn't support N900 so I have to use only Fring?!

Greetings, Steliyan!

Skype is integrated into the N900's software by default. You don't need any separate apps.

Please read my previous posts.

@Venemo: Nice writeup on skype use. Thanks.

One problem 'reportedly' on skype use is "DTMF is not supported", not true any more, I just found out how to do it, here, http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...983#post577983, thread #8.

To make DTMF work, able to "press one for..., press two for...", sometimes, one needs to go back to phone home page and press Dialing Pad, it will then work.

I still have NOT able to make Skype as my default Cell type, it always default to Cellular. Anyone has better luck?

Tia,

bun
