btw i have seen people selling n950 on russian forums, so it's not like it never happened. Sold for about 300-400 Euros

That's the point.
The N950 device program wasn't a "N950 developer device program" but a "N950 community device program".
Most didn't understand that.
There are far more non-developers who got a N950.

edit: and don't you think that organizing the MeeGo Coding Competition is helping

Why? The N9 was released and I'm ensuring that developers get these. In total I was able to get 10 N9s into the hands of developers with the help of my N950.

Most developers which didn't get a N950 should have a N9 already by now (either bought themselves or received over MeeGo Coding Competition, etc...)

So who should need an additional N950 only for developing purposes?

Nokia was also pleased with the results and the community got some more apps.
