Re: Possible Hint of N9 Hardware?

But something to consider: If a large bunch of platforms (Snapdragon, U8500, OMAP3, OMAP4, Atom, MIPS, whatever..) is properly supported in MeeGo.. imagine how easy it would be for Nokia to rebase...

Re: Topic of the Day: Should Nokia Drop Meego and roll with Android?

Things aren't going really peachy for Nokia in rest of the world either. Even in Europe, during the last 12 months smartphonephone marketshare 50%->40%, mobilephones 40%->32%. Or my personal...

Re: Topic of the Day: Should Nokia Drop Meego and roll with Android?

No, because Nokia (and indeed, many others) don't like effectively being under the thumb of Google.

Despite it being open, the course Android takes and control over the code are squarely in...

Re: Google Nexus One, The Phone I Should Have Bought From The Very Start.

You will realize how good the N900 is when you get your Nexus. I switched to the EVO 4G, fully regret it, nothing will beat the N900. Android has nothing on it, really.

Re: no drm means no good apps?

DRM is an antiquated model. If your software is properly developed you can make money from it with or without DRM. People are ALWAYS going to pirate software regardless of the security model, all DRM...

Re: [Council] Nokia response to MyNokia subscription in PR1.2

I don't think that "please" used in that way actually indicates a request. It's like a sign saying "please stay in crosswalk when crossing street." It's a politer way of citing a regulation.

Re: [Council] Nokia response to MyNokia subscription in PR1.2

The key thing here is that:
- You should not have to pull your sim card during an upgrade
- You should have an opt out of any services
- Nokia should not be sending SMSes without permission
