When locked, CPU goes to 0. You may have a wakeup issue for the CPU. In which case, installing power kernel and overvolting the CPU might help. If not, Nokia Care?

1) Where ever your brush is is the layer that will be drawn on more or less. So if you have a blue , red and yellow square on 3 different layer you can just press once...

I don't think you quite understand what this is. Unlike vertsms, this works everywhere you have text input - it's a regular virtual keyboard, not a separate application.
