Spotify on n8x0?
Seems some clever people managed to reverse-engineer the spotify-client and get it platform-independent.
Who'll be the first to come up with a version for our beloved tablets?

Re: Can the n800 play FLAC audio format?
I'm now experimenting with somewhat lower ogg bitrates, and the results are encouraging. So I don't think it's a problem across all ogg/vorbis settings, but rather certain levels of compression...

Re: Can the n800 play FLAC audio format?
And no, please, disregard my last few posts. Flac, is much nicer. A few more listening tests, and I'm back to Flac, warts in the implementation and all. My new shiny ogg-files all produce a hiss in...

Re: Can the n800 play FLAC audio format?
I can but agree. That's why I first went to flac.
But when I switch between ogg and flac, still I'd say there's something I like more about the ogg at the moment. It may all be placebo of course,...

Re: Can the n800 play FLAC audio format?
This thread got me started experimenting a bit... I converted a bunch of stuff into OGG at 500kbps, and actually, I think that for me that may be the best choice for music on the n800. Flac-playing...

Re: Can the n800 play FLAC audio format?
That's the holy grail for quite a lot of us on here and over on head-fi. Seems getting n8x0 to play nice with a usb-dac is beyond even the most persistent attempts to tame the beast so far though.

Re: Tear 0.2 - a simple maemo WebKit browser.
When I try to install your version of the webkit engine my n800 says something about an incompatible installation package? What might that be caused by?
Do I need to be in redpill-mode or...

Re: 3G data solution - wifi hotspot
Third recommendaton for Joikuspot, it is very good indeed. Bluetooth-tethering just isn't stable with my n95, but start up joiku, and I'm good for a few hours of surfing.
It's also handy to be...

Whilst I see your point on one hand I have to say, on the other hand, you've got the benefit of having just tapped into a fairly mature ecosystem of good apps, and can look forward to at least half a...

Re: Maemo 5 Reveals its Features
I really don't get the negativity... So what if Fremantle won't run on our old N8x0-s? For my beloved n800, Diablo does the job, letting me read ebooks, listen to music, watch videos, rdesktop onto...

Re: Can the n800 play FLAC audio format?
That's what it boils down to though... if it feels better, it is better.
My only problem is that I can't find a good flac-solution on the n800. Using mediabox, it sorts and tags correctly from the...

Re: what are you using your tablet pc for?
50% of the time it's an ebook-reader. Besides that, it's a flac-player and videoplayer.
The n800 is the perfect entertainment device when putting small kids to bed. I can read a book whilst...

Re: slow video performance
Slightly longer answer: The N8x0's don't play "normal" video very well. There are a few different ways to re-encode your file into a more fitting format than generic divx-avi.
Nokia provides a...
