Re: n900 sends SMS without my permission
I am afraid it will. I think that removing /usr/bin/cherry and its control panel libraries, as stated in one of the previous posts, would prevent this, but I am not sure, if this SMS is not buffered...

Re: PR1.2 Privacy breach?
Using N900 is probably against the Terms of Service of most cell providers in Poland, which generally forbid using their SIM cards for the traffic between the machines.
Edit: not most, but there...

n900 sends SMS without my permission
After I have reflashed my n900 to PR1.2, n900 has sent an SMS to Nokia. This is a privacy violation. I do not remember agreeing to that and I do not want Nokia to be informed every time I upgrade my...

Re: Is changing IMEI possible?
The GSM network knows the simcard which has been inserted in the phone with the particular IMEI during every call. So, even if you change the simcard they can still tell, that this is the phone which...

Re: Overclock the N900?
Without SmartReflex enabled, isn't the processor always operating at the highest voltage (OPP5)?

Re: How is 'bricked' possible on the N900?
I think the only way to "brick" the device is to overwrite the config partition (mtd1). The IMEI and WLAN MAC are stored there and probably cryptographically signed.
