Re: Qt based Fennec (Firefox) - IPCLiteAPI - Hell it's fast!

I personally would much rather see an update of the XUL-based version using OMTC and a UI that looks more similar to the Firefox for Android UI.

Thumbs up Re: JollaMobile : Jolla continues Nokia's excellent work on #MeeGo based smartphones

Try to be as open as possible to the community, making it possible to enroll in beta testing early, enable people to contribute even before a device is released to the masses.
One possibility would...

Re: List of Meego-Harmattan packages has been found

I hope it's easy to throw out and replace with a real browser.

Re: Where meego community is going to go?

Right, that's how Firefox 4 Mobile works on Android.

Not that this makes the robot OS any more free or cuts the chords from sending data to a single vendor or anything like that...

Re: Is there anything we can do??

What we should do, IMHO, is to throw all our assess behind making MeeGo really rock (yes, we can - it's free software!) and as "members of the MeeGo community" ask as many device (smartphone and...

Re: What Nokia should have done with maemo/meego

The real question is how are e getting someone else than Nokia to do it for and _with_ us? What are our next steps? Ranting doesn't change anything, we need to do something!

Re: Intel Backs MeeGo...Dissapointed in Nokia/M$ union

Sorry to post this link twice, but I agree with Intel that MeeGo still can have a good future - it just may not be Nokia's devices that bring it to us.
And it's the best time for other device...

Re: Nokia + Microsoft that is end result, LETS go back to work

There is a lot of future, it may just not be with Nokia.

Cool Re: Where meego community is going to go?

Now is the best time for any mobile device creator to start making MeeGo their prime strategy!

The project is very much alive, and has support from at least Intel and AMD, and a few others,...

Wink Re: Nokia - Microsoft partnership (merged threads)

You know, the only difference between "Flop" and "Elop" is one horizontal bar. And Ballmer took back that one yesterday. I guess that was probably an IP issue and the bar on the fronthead belongs to...

Re: Microsoft is the plague: Nokia stock drops 14% as 1,000 employees walk out

cfh11:

Re: Nokia X7-00 leaked

Another Symbian^3 phone, nice. But where's my Nokia MeeGo device? I don't care if the software is polished, I'm happy to be a development tester for software, that's what I'm used to anyhow! ;-)

Wink Re: Why do you want/need the N9?

For me, the answer is easy: My N810's touchscreen has gone haywire and I don't have an N900 yet - so what better than to get the new generation? :p
