Re: internal error. Application 'E-mail' closed
Same problem here.
The old email app works perfectly before the Diablo update. Now if I leave the email running and retrieving emails in the background, the OS will pop up the "Internal error....

Re: WPA-Enterprise "Feature" #3399
It really bugs me too, because it gets stuck in this mode and drains the battery fast. If I've just been to a public WiFi place and come back in the office, and if I forget to switch to WPA...

I tried 4 times without success. The last three with a clean map folder. Everytime, all 700MB had successfully downloaded and it failed on the installing map step. The N810 was left with an...

How do you sync IMAP folders?
Just tried IMAP.
Not very good either! I did some changes to the folders from my PC, and now, they do not sync to my N810. Is there any way to sync the folders?
Is the only way to delete...

Re: Wayfinder maps updated!!!
Once the map download failed, you are doomed. I had to delete the map folder *and* reflash the N810 before I could download the USA West map. (I haven't added the USA East yet.) USA West took 2-3...

How to display the Trash Folder?
I still have an old POP3 account, so I use the option "Leave Mail on Server", so I can quick browse emails on the road and then download the emails once I get back to the office.
The problem is...

Re: H.264 support in OS2008. How ?
I can't get my N810 to play any h264 video with much higher than a video bit rate of 450Kbps. Is your 600Kbps a combined video + audio bit rate?
Have you turn off many settings in order to...

Re: H.264 support in OS2008. How ?
I use RipBot264, under the hood, it uses x264 encoder, ffdshow and avisynth.... Most files are included in the zip file, except ffdshow and avisynth

Re: H.264 support in OS2008. How ?
Yep, the N810 will start to get choppy when the bit rate goes higher than 400Kbps. So I have modified my encoding settings again. I am reducing to 1 ref-frame and no mixed ref-frame to speed up the...

Re: Transcoding Software
I use x264 for encoding. For GUI, I use Ripbot264 (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=127611). (Ripbot uses Avisynth and x264, underneath the simple UI, you can tweak the avisynth script quite...

Re: Transcoding Software
Don't forget x264 as well.
IMO, if you are rpoducing h264 video, they are more or less the same, specially on this small screen, The profile and bitrate have more to do with the final quality.

Re: Sluggish performance N810
You need to check with your ISP. I have an awful ISP (AT&T/SBC), but on my 1.5Mbit DSL connection, my download speed (tested with speedtest.net) is 1200kbps. You are only getting 400kbps on a line...

My current settings (so far) for generating h264/avc videos that works pretty well.
I use 2-pass encoding.

Re: H.264 support in OS2008. How ?
I am also playing with H264/AVC. As I don't want to go back to MPEG-4 ASP or Divx.
For certain, there is no way the N810 can keep up with PSP files encoded using level 3 main profile. You must...
