A bug has already been filed and subsequently "assigned".

what does that mean for us?

sorry if this is a stupid question/stupid answer scenario, but I'm a little lost as to what the situation is/how to read the bug report.

Cheers.

means as its not critical, it will never be fixed.

You can can read all non critical "assigned" status as "ignored/wontfix".

Okay, so why has it been "assigned" ?

Does that mean some guy out there is responsible for it, but he's probably got much bigger things to do so he'll most likely never get aroundto it?
