could all be used for A,B, Y,X, R,L or whatever the button is called.

For me this would be the best layout. Cant wait until we can re-assign keys in our emulators

"press a character on your keypad to assign A button"
I can assign new keys in all the emulators i've tried..

I'd be willing to donate a few bucks if it would help the developement.
Same here, I would support such a project with donations and may even help with the code itself. It should be technically possible to get the consoles mentioned above smooth running, I mean even the PSP is able to emulate a N64 / PSX at full speed and it got only a 300Mhz CPU.

I have to say, I would be very excited to have either or both of those emus, too. I think the 3D ability demonstrated by the Bounce demo would serve these emus well.

How do you asign new keys for SDLMAME? I didn't think there was a way. All the other emus come with an identical front-end and keymapping is a breeze, for sure. But SDLMAME doesn't use that frontend like the others.

Every single input is mappable in SDLMAME through the "Configure General Inputs" option at the bottom of the main menu.

Please take SDLMAME-specific comments to the SDLMAME thread.
