WOW! That's one of the better use case of NFC.

Hey guys,

hmm I don't find where I can activate or use NFC with this app. I used the automatic profile changing with my se xperia before and have the NFC tags here.

But what must I do that I am able to change my profiles with them?

NFC functionality is in beta testing, ie. the released version of ProfileMatic does not have the functionality yet.

If you feel adventurous and want to try the testing version, see here:

Note, before you can install the testing version you need to uninstall ProfileMatic that was installed from Nokia Store.

Whilst it's a creative/ingenious use of tags, I personally don't envisage myself bothering with that.
It's just too much hassle tagging everything, and it could develop into a OCD thing for me

Beta version's also always in the testing channel, in the apps4meego client, right?

Have you thought of activating rules via matching connected BT devices?

This has been requested. But I don't actually have yet any Bluetooth devices to test with. I think I'll add this eventually, but it's going to take awhile.

Hmm I'm pretty sure I had answered to this post, but now the post seems missing. Anyway, no. ProfileMatic is not yet in apps4meego at all. The beta versions are posted to random posts in this thread :-).

Why not just make them available in the "testing" repo @apps4meego?

Because from what I've read, it would require considerable effort. I've considered that the limited time I have is better spent on other stuff for now.

But getting ProfileMatic to apps4meego is a long-term goal.

Hmm, it's a shame it can't be made much more simplified/streamlined, especially for the testing repo.
Many devs like you don't bother (understandably) because it's a bit too complicated/time-consuming.
