Re: n900 has bad noisy camera
I loved the N95 8gb cam, it was very reliable.
I actually stopped using the n900s camera, because it was rather luck than anything else whether the picture turns out nice or not. Yes, you can...

Re: Announcement: N900 R.I.P.
The problem with the apps is the same as with the TV. Tons of stations, but you only use a couple of them. So why bother about 2e5 apps you don't use anyway and just be happy with all the 1e3...

Re: SAR Shield
There are actually contradicting researches on this topic published on nature, as far as I remember. They deal with gene defects generated by resonance effects of the EM radiation.
From what is...

Re: SAR value
I was referring to the point, that EM radiation is not affecting the human body. EM radiation covers anything from x-rays to FM used for radio stations.

Re: SAR value
Sorry, but this is totally bogus. EM radiation very well effects the human body, anything below UV should be handled very carefully. Did ya ever sit in the sun for too long and got a sunburn?
I...

Re: Need ideas to reduce N900 temperature
There are 2 apps for the status bar, dont know the name and Conky. There are maybe more apps, but the ones for the status bar are most convenient to check activity.

Re: Need ideas to reduce N900 temperature
Did you check CPU activity? That might be a reason. My old N95 8GB got hot while doing several things at the same time using a lot CPU power.
And you didnt overclock it?
Actually, I can...

Re: N900 Camera info
I am not totally sure but its usually like this:
The first number is the F number and gives the ratio of the lens diameter to the focus of the lens. A small F number gives you more light, since the...

Re: HDR Pictures with the N900?
Thats exactly my point. It looks like image quality is significantly reduced with the scripts compared to the build in application.

Re: Hints and Tips for Using the N900 Camera

The CCD is quite small, so the signal to noise ratio drops quite fast...
