Re: n900 to buy or not to buy

Last I knew flasher was closed source, x86 only.

Probably doable with the 0xFFFF flash tool as the source is available and it can be compiled for ARM.
Take care.

Re: N900 (A)GPS desnt seem to be working

I use GPSJinni to check GPS receiver status.
A few people have posted that leaving GPSJinni on (in background) seems to help applications that lose communication with the GPS receiver often.

What did you use "transmission" on to download file?
More specifically, where did you save the file as you downloaded it?

Re: Problems with Mass Storage mode (Possibly caused by SSH?)

Not sure if this is your problem, but is probably related. I have had trouble with files larger then 2GB on FAT32 file systems. (FWIW NOT on N900 or Linux systems)
If I remember right MS backup...

Take care.

Re: The case for a wifi-only device

Re: how do a change the xterm virtual keyboard shortcuts?

I don't know if you found the answer yet. The arrow toggles xterm operating modes. It is needed to copy and paste or scroll (very basic).

See this wiki page, "Xterm Shortcuts" section. Good...

Re: How to "crack" wayfinder 7 days trial

Just a quick observation. Use the " -s 0 " option with tcpdump when capturing unknown data. It will capture the whole packet(s) that match your other filters. More data == good :)
Take care.
