I'm looking for the source code of "isearch-applet" -- the little Internet search applet that sits on your desktop. In this bug report Andre Klapper says the applet is open-source and can be found in the "hildon desktop module" (comment #3) but apt-get source hildon-desktop doesn't seem to fetch it (comment #4 confirms this).

My question is: is isearch-applet open-source, and if so, where can the source be obtained?

Thanks.

It's not open. (God knows why... welcome to Maemo)

Its copyright file:
This software is copyright (C) 2005 by NOKIA

Jeez, for something so simple like that? C'mon... Thanks for the reply, though.

if the source is of interest so as to add more search options, i think there is a tool for that already...

You can use xiojason's browser-proxy from the Tear thread for that.

A bit offtopic but it's not the copyright that matters but the licence.

Indeed, but I would expect to see some sort of mention of what license it's using if it was open-source. The copyright file usually mandates that, but it was removed by Nokia.

Wouldn't that have been great! (For yourself, you can at least make a page of Google site-specific searches; of course, your initial plan was much nicer than that.)
