on v45 same as v42

i don't have fcam (or do i?,how to check if/ver?)
in last month reflashed few times and never installed bless

cheers
Do you by any chance have the Camera Lens Launcher app installed?

In my case everything was totally fine under .44 until I installed that. As soon as I did, the N900 got stuck in an endless reboot loop -- it would make it as far as the desktop and then just restart itself.

I ended up completely reflashing the FW and EMMC and I'm sticking with .42 for now.

I am not having trouble booting to Maemo, but rather I want to explore the U-Boot menu.

If I do not press any buttons on boot I am able to get into Maemo normally.

Is this normal? Is there any way to stay in that command mode and not have the N900 turn off (I'm guessing it's "bootloader command mode?)

As a side note, if I do not press anything the N900 boots normally into PR 1.2.
I just tried it, for you. Seems to be normal, or a bug.

Watchdogs kick in, basically.

There are two watchdogs - omap and twl4030. u-boot disables the omap watchdog, but not the twl4030 watchdog.

One of my enhancements for u-boot was disabling the twl4030 watchdog. Unfortunately, this version of u-boot does not work on HW revision 2204.

If your HW revision is 2101 (listed in /proc/cpuinfo), and you don't use USB host mode, you may downgrade to kernel power44 (but make sure you do it correctly), and have a u-boot for longer than 30 seconds.

My HW revision is 2104, it boots somtimes and other times doesn't, seems it boots more often right after i pulled out the battery and stuck it back in.

Btw, do you think i can get Nokia here to replace my N900 by one with the most recent hardware revision for free even though i bought it on another country?

Uhhh, is this caused by the Power Kernel ? (I assume?)

Reason I ask is I am running stock kernels and reading the material
before taking the plunge into the Power Kernel
and I can say this - after upgrading both my n900s in PR 1.3
one with 2101 hw and the other with 2204 hw
I find the GPS works even better than before with stock kernel.

If GPS is broken in Power Kernel then I might postpone
my adventures until I can see where it might be fixed,
as I rely quite a bit on GPS.
